About Manjari Sansthan
Manjari got registered in September 2009 under the Rajasthan Societies Registration Act 1958. Manjari aims to: “Establish a society where women and children can live a life with dignity”. Manjari articulate its mission as working for: “the development of Women and Children thereby undertaking specific actions of human and institutional capacity building, community leadership development, collective action and good governance”.
The General Body of Manjari is the supreme decision-making body. The General Body has entrusted powers to the Executive Committee. The Executive committee members include office bearers and general members. The Executive committee is responsible for guiding the program development process and adherence to statutory norms related to the Rajasthan Societies Registration Act, Income Tax Act and finance & audit. On behalf of EC, the Secretary- Manjari is responsible for providing day to day support to different program -and support teams. Manjari has its office at Budhpura (Bundi). In Jaipur, we have a small coordination office.

Geographical outreach of Manjari includes Bundi, Kota, Karauli and Jaipur districts of Rajasthan. Thematic areas of intervention are- Human Rights and Business Principles, Child Rights, Engaging Men & Boys for Gender Justice, Occupational Health & Safety, Urban Excluded Communities, Development Communication and Localisation of Sustainable Development Goals.
At present, Manjari is implementing a project titled- Work: No Child’s Business (WNCB). The project aims at enhancing developmental opportunities for children living in mining areas thereby involvements of all the stakeholders. It particularly works with all the actors in the supply chain of natural stone so is to ensure standardisation of mining work and processes in the region. The project is being implemented in Budhpura region of Bundi District in Rajasthan (South-Eastern part of Rajasthan). With support from UNICEF, Manjari is working with excluded communities living in urban areas of Jaipur. The project aims at addressing gaps with regard to health communication, appropriate health behaviours and access to health care services. In Karuali, Manjari is working in 10 Gram Panchayats of Mandrayal Block to facilitate localization of SDGs thereby strengthening planning capacities of Panchayats. This initiative is also supported by the UNICEF.
